SECRET STAGES is a two-day indoor / outdoor music festival held in the Historic Loft District of Downtown Birmingham. Festival-goers enjoy easy access to a carefully selected variety of national, regional, and local talent performing on stages located within walking distance of one another in restaurants and bars located in the festival’s compact, multi-block footprint. The Festival also includes an outdoor stage that is free to the public. Secret Stages 2012, the festival’s second year, will take place on Friday, May 11th and Saturday, May 12th. In its first year, Secret Stages brought nearly 3,000 people to downtown Birmingham; for two nights a diverse group of music enthusiasts were treated to over 80 musical acts and a dozen comedians performing on nearby stages. Attendance in 2012 is projected to grow dramatically based on the overwhelmingly positive response of both artists and attendees at Secret stages 2011.
