Shaheed & Supreme will be rocking a counter-perspective, bringing positive, aware Hip Hop to the stage.

Shaheed & Supreme will be bringing their fire to the stage at Bottletree, Friday, Nov 4th, representing Intelligent Hip Hop and the LOBOTOMIX crew when they perform alongside Huntsville’s Hip Hop icons G-Side who are blowing up making Dirty South rap with a space-rap feel. As they describe it, “That’s how we got our name—G-Side—cause it’s the gutter side, and Huntsville didn’t have a dirty side.” Shaheed & Supreme will be rocking a counter-perspective, bringing positive, aware Hip Hop to the stage. It promises to be a great show.

Also on the bill for the night will be Kristmas – a label mate of G-Side – who produces Dirty South rap that fits right in with G-Side’s sound, and Birmingham’s Hip Hop icons R-Tist & Green Seed who now feature the dual devastational power of the two best turntablists in Alabama – djFX and djJEFF C [who represents LOBOTOMIX crew, Cold Kut Combo and Carpal Click]. If for no other reason, you should check out this show to see FX and Jeff C destroy it on the cuts.

Come out to LOBOTOMIX’s FREE HIP HOP ANNIVERSARY THROWDOWN on Oct 29th dressed as your favorite Hip Hop icon and compete for your chance to win a pair of tickets to this show!

poster designs: Patrick Mayton.
Patrick has been putting out some very good posters for a long time. One of my faves is a piece he did for a Man Man show where he took the Dead Kennedy’s logo apart to create the font he used. I was impressed with how he made a poster for one of my favorite bands using the bastardized font of another of my favorite bands while maintaining a sharp eye for design and artistic value. Golden.
