Kids In The Cypher officially formed as a crew in 2008, although several of the original members have been going to B-Boy Jams together since 2007. Founding members Jamaal Gamble [aka Weslee Swipes], Kiyoshi Scissum, Lionel Copeland & Martin Castre started getting together and working out their moves and developing their styles in 2007. Next year they brought on two more members – Robert Rendell, Jr and Kiyoshi’s brother, Kuni. In October 2009, several members showed up to a party thrown by LOBOTOMIX founder, djRASHIDO and a relationship began that has led to the KITC crew becoming official members of the LOBOTOMIX crew. Now, aside from representing at jams and battles across the country, KITC is an intrinsic part of LOBOTOMIX events and the promotion and preservation of hip hop culture. KITC have represented at Loose Screws 2008 & 2009, Bashville Stampede 2008 thru 2011, Deuces Wild 2010 & 2011. The KITC crew name continues to gain recognition and the crew continues to grow.
