On Tuesday, September 6th, after a conversation about the nature of their business relationship and the value of their friendship, LOBOTOMIX founder Rashid Qandil and The Green Seed’s frontman and founder, R-Tist agreed to end their business collaborations in the interest of maintaining their long-standing friendship.
A good friendship is much more important to me than any business partnership could ever be, so in the interest of maintaining that which is most important, I support R-Tist in his decision to leave LOBOTOMIX. There is an element of regret, of course, because The Green Seed have been an integral part of who we are and what we represent, both as a crew and as a movement in this city, but given the way of the world, relationships and friendships will always change and evolve, and I see this as a part of that. We will always recognise and acknowledge The Green Seed as one of the premiere hip hop acts in Birmingham, because that is what they are, and we will continue to support them in all that they do.
The Green Seed are currently recording their latest [and reportedly their best] album with local indie label Communicating Vessels and planning out a dynamic year for 2012. Be sure to keep an eye out for them and keep up with what they are doing on their
Facebook Page.
Rashid.
