GREEN SEED performs at “Southern Comfort” – at GRAVEYARD TAVERN in ATL. January 22nd, 2011
On saturday, Jan. 22nd Rashid rolled into Atlanta with a box full of fresh T’s, a video camera and a change of clothes.
Last saturday, i rolled into Atlanta with a box full of fresh t’s, a video camera and a change of clothes. i caught up with THE GREEN SEED at graveyard tavern in east atlanta village. the venue is a lot of fun and the show was great – the new video sugartooth productions did for GREEN SEED’s single CRACK KILLS was premiered to the atl crowd [check it out on our video page] and then the fellas ripped through a really tight set that got the crowd rolling. SHAHEED popped in for a cameo and spit out a few of his tracks in the middle of the set and i am proud to say that everyone really seemed to respond well to what the LOBOTOMIX crew had to offer. POL-B got the night started, J-SOL and SPEAKERFOX kept the crowd dancing after the live sets were done and DRES THA BEATNICK ran the mike and hosted the whole evening. it was a good time. be sure to check out the pictures that OH SNAP! KID took that night.
The fresh speed stack t’s were on the merch table with GREEN SEED’s latest album MUD PIES and SHAHEED’s discs HEALTH, WEALTH & KNOWLEDGE OF SELF and his 2010 release SCHOLAR WARRIOR [the remix album]. COMPLET even brought out an ep that was given out free to anyone who bought a t and a copy of MUD PIES. i look forward to spotting the speed stack logo on some chests around the atl when i’m out there next.
I rounded out the weekend visiting with friends and making my regular stop in to see MEGA at BEATLAB – he’s looking for some new cross-fader knobs and random replacement parts i need for a couple of my mixers. this is a must-stop for anyone who loves vinyl – and MEGA is very knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction [and fix most of your gear]. it’s a one-stop shop for deejays and heads. atl – i’ll see you soon.
Just for posterity, here’s the event listing from facebook.
